Fees & Charges
Every charge we make, what it covers, and when it is paid. There are no hidden fees.
ASJSR is a fully open-access journal: readers never pay anything. There are no subscriptions and no paywalls. The costs of editorial handling, peer review coordination, permanent hosting, and open-access distribution are met by author-side charges, which are listed in full below.

All amounts are in United States dollars and are charged securely by card through Stripe. ASJSR never sees or stores your card details.
Research Papers
Standard review — free
Submitting a research paper costs nothing. Standard peer review takes approximately 8–10 weeks from successful submission, following editorial screening.
Fast Track review — $100
Optional. Peer review is completed in approximately 2 weeks from confirmed payment. Fast Track buys review speed only — it has no bearing on whether your paper is accepted.
Publication fee — $250, charged only on acceptance
- •Nothing is charged while your paper is under review.
- •If your paper is rejected, you pay nothing — there is no charge at any point.
- •If your paper is accepted, we email you a secure payment link for the $250 publication fee. Your paper is published once the fee is paid.
- •You may decline to pay and withdraw your paper at that point, at no cost.
Fast Track and the publication fee are separate charges
The $100 Fast Track fee is not credited against the $250 publication fee. An author who chooses Fast Track and whose paper is then accepted and published pays $350 in total ($100 at submission + $250 at acceptance). An author who chooses standard review and is published pays $250 in total.
Blog Posts
A one-time fee of $50.00 applies to each blog post submission. It is paid at the point of submission, before your post enters editorial review, and it covers submission and review handling only — it does not guarantee publication. There is no further charge if your post is accepted and published.

—Permanent hosting at a stable, citable URL
—Open-access distribution under a CC BY 4.0 licence, free to all readers
—Long-term archiving and continued availability of your work
—Search-engine and repository discoverability of your published paper
Fees and Editorial Decisions
Editorial decisions at ASJSR are made on the academic merit of the work alone. Payment of any fee does not influence whether a submission is accepted. Paying the Fast Track fee affects only how quickly your paper is reviewed, never the outcome of that review. Reviewers are not informed of an author's payment status.
Payment, Refunds & Waivers
How you pay
All fees are paid by card through Stripe's secure hosted checkout. You will receive an emailed receipt for every payment.
Refunds
All fees are non-refundable once paid. The Fast Track fee is non-refundable even if the paper is subsequently rejected, as it pays for the expedited review that was carried out.
Waivers
ASJSR does not offer fee waivers, discounts, or reductions. Every author pays the same published rates.
Charges to Readers
None. Every paper and blog post published by ASJSR is freely available to read and download, without a subscription, registration, or paywall.
